With only a few ingredients, and a simple to follow recipe, you can whip these cookies up in less than 30 minutes, ensuring you are spending more time with your loved ones than prepping in the kitchen.
Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup Butter - room temperature
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Hazelnuts
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour - Gluten Free 1:1 works as well
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom Seed
A note from experience: make sure your butter is room temperature. impatience led me to warm mine a little, which made my dough runny. I had to hand mold my cookies and they fell apart easily.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter cookie sheet. Use a food processor or blender to grind Hazelnuts and Cardamom.
Combine butter and sugar, mix well. Add flour, baking powder, hazelnuts and cardamom. Place dough between two sheets of wax paper and use a rolling pin to get dough to roughly 9x12 in. Use cookie cutter to cut cookies, and place on buttered sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes, allow to cool, and enjoy with great company!
